Though beer may have been among the hottest trends in San Francisco this year, the Bay Area is still a piddling part of the beer world as far as Draft magazine's annual list of America's 100 best beer bars is concerned. Only four Bay bars—SF's Toronado and La Trappe, and Oakland's The Trappist and Beer Revolution—made the list, compared to six spots in Portland and seven in Chicago. Notable omissions include City Beer Store, Church Key, The Monk's Kettle, and especially the new Abbot's Cellar, whose fine-dining pedigree apparently wasn't enough to merit a spot. [Draft]
