The North Beach deli concept that Don Pisto's owner Pete Mrabe hinted about in October goes before the Planning Department today as Lago Marsino, an old-world Italian grocery. Grub Street reports that Sotto Mare and Grant & Green Saloon owner Giovanni Toracca is expanding his offerings to cured meats, sandwiches, cold cuts, olive oils, and "a fresh dough program selling pizza dough, bread dough, unleavened flatbread dough, and, of course, fresh pasta."
It's uncertain if the shop's dining component has been scrapped or just gone unmentioned. Previous reports discussed a ten-seat eating area and five hot, and five cold sandwiches. If you hear anything, send your tips to email@example.com.
