Matt Skov, the beloved kitchen and facilities manager at food incubator La Cocina, passed away on Monday after a several month-long battle with cancer. Before he helped innovative food concepts get on their feet, "Papa Matt," as he was called by the La Cocina staff, operated brunch spot Ella's in Pacific Heights and gourmet grocery Blue Fog Market in Cow Hollow.
His family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, February 2 in Mill Valley.
