MISSION— SFoodie sampled the cacao-pulp smoothie at recently-opened Dandelion Chocolate, which they dubbed a "marvelous accompaniment" to the titular sweets. The rarity of cacao pulp, however, means a hefty $7 price tag. [SFoodie]
UNION SQUARE— Yigit Pura's Tout Sweet Patisserie is adding Tastings@Tout Sweet, a monthly three-course nighttime menu of plated desserts paired with local wine and beer. The first edition, on Valentine's Day, will reprise Pura's winning tasting menu on Top Chef: Just Desserts. Admission is $55; call for reservations.
RICHMOND— Grub Street has details on New American spot Assemble, which is looking to open next month in a former Ford assembly plant near the Craneway Pavilion. They'll also be creating a garden for the Richmond schools participating in Alice Waters' Edible Schoolyard project. [Grub Street]
POLK GULCH— Marcia Gagliardi of Tablehopper picks her favorite meal in SF: "Oysters, uni, crab (with Louie sauce on the side), sourdough bread, and an Anchor Steam at the counter at Swan Oyster Depot, with some of their fab smoked salmon to go." In case you're interested in 99 more of Gagliardi's favorite meals, she also curated this year's edition of the perennially popular 7x7 Big Eat list. [7x7]
DOGPATCH—Juice bar Sow, which recently vacated its Saturday pop-up at Pause Wine Bar on Market for its sister spot Yield in the Dogpatch, announced that its first day of operation in the new location will be this Saturday, from 9am-2pm. After that, they'll be open until 2pm every day except Thursday and Sunday. [EaterWire]
