The folks over at CUESA tipped us off this morning to their new Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market Chef Baskets, a DIY dinner kit complete with sustainable ingredients and recipes from local chefs. Two chefs per month will handle basket duties; February kicks off with Adam Timney of Starbelly and PBS cooking maven/Copita chef Joanne Weir. The baskets run $27-29 ($38-45 with meat), and each meal serves 2-3. You can pick up the goods at the Tuesday market for free, or have them delivered for an extra $5 through Luke's Local and Good Eggs.
The February baskets kick off this coming Tuesday; order by Sunday night to get in. Here are the menus:
Adam Timney, Starbelly ($27, or $38 with meat):
· Grilled Little Gems, Market Oranges, Goat's Milk Feta and Pistachio Salad
· Butter Bean Puree with Smoked Dried Tomatoes and Herb Sauce
· Grilled Prather Ranch Moroccan Style Lamb Sausage (optional)
Joanne Weir, Copita ($29, or $45 with meat):
· Fennel Soup with Meyer Lemon Crème Fraiche
· Fresh Spinach and Shaved Root Vegetable Salad
· Roasted Pasture-Raised Chicken (optional)
