It's been a while without any news from Red Dog (303 2nd St.), the forthcoming second restaurant from Lauren Kiino of Il Cane Rosso that was originally scheduled for this summer. Now, an answer: Kiino is using Kickstarter to raise the last $50K to open the doors. $50 buys a drink and a snack, while $2,500 gets a customized, paired dinner for four. Based on the video, construction hasn't started yet (though permits are in place), so it seems unlikely this one will open by the end of the year; Kiino didn't return a request for comment.
