Takeovers

In an act of protest against the erosion of Polk Street's gay heritage, Dan Karkoska (aka DJ Dank) has arranged a straight bar takeover of Playland (formerly gay bar Kimo's) this Saturday night. "We do not want to start any fights or name-calling. We simply want to point out to an ignorant population that this used to be a gay neighborhood, and we are taking our history back and spreading the news in a peaceful manner."
