Ala Romana, the second project from Allegro Romano owner Lorenzo Logerici, is getting close, and now there's a chef signed on: David Taylor, an A16 vet who's been cooking at various restaurants around town. The focus will remain Roman food, with handmade pastas and possibly a Japanese-style robata grill. CDR Construction, which did Rickhouse, Jasper's, and The Corner Store, is behind the design; the space should open next year. [Inside Scoop]
