Culinary darling State Bird Provisions officially reopened this weekend after an extended renovation that revamped the interior and expanded it into the space next door. Now, Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski are back in business with 20 more seats and a whole lot more space to maneuver. Among the new changes are the addition of a second bathroom, several four-top tables and a pair of larger tables that can seat up to eight people each. Colorful pegboard accents and lighting fixtures come courtesy of designer Wylie Price, and a new host stand adds a more distinct entry area to the restaurant. Last but certainly not least, a raw bar now occupies the former entryway, promising oysters on the half shell and more.
If you're thinking of checking out the new spot, be warned: all the tables for the next 60 days were booked up just 90 minutes after the restaurant's website began accepting them, so you'll have to walk in if you're jonesing for bites from the James Beard-awarded "Best New Restaurant" of the year.
