Since opening four years ago, Oasis Food Market on Pill Hill in Oakland has been a popular destination for Middle Eastern transplants seeking hard-to-find ingredients, as well as locals seeking high-quality falafel. Now, they're launching a restaurant spinoff, Oasis Lounge (344 Grand Ave.), with full-service dining from chef Eric Lanvart, plus a hookah lounge. It could open as soon as next month. [EBX]
