Redzepi in SF; Just For You's Dinner

CASTRO—Acclaimed Noma chef René Redzepi is in town tonight to promote his new three-part book, A Work in Progress: Journals, Recipes, and Snapshots. Advance ticket sales for his Castro Theater talk and Q&A (which will be introduced by Metallica's Lars Ulrich) are closed, but some $30 tickets will be available at the door ($65 if you want the book, too). DOGPATCH—Neighborhood favorite brunch spot Just For You is changing things up a bit: starting this week, they've begun to serve dinner, too. On Fridays through Monday from 6om to 10:30pm, expect a full menu of starters like fried sweet tomatoes and pissaladiere and mains like vegetable cassoulet and rack of lamb from chef Robert Del Real. OAKLANDKitchener, Oakland's commercial kitchen with a community conscience, is hosting a Thanksgiving Pop-Up Market tonight to showcase their local artisans. Expect treats like pear dumplings, turducken, sweet potato butterscotch mini pies and much more, plus $2 beers. [East Bay Dish]

MISSION—SF Chefs Dinner Party Project is in progress this week, and there are still seats available for Thursday night's dinner, a five-course barbecue collaboration between Robin Song of Hi Lo and Hog & Rocks, Dennis Lee of Namu Gaji and Magnolia, and pastry chef Maya Erickson.
