Kermit Lynch at the Chapel; Tosca's Italian Wine Bashes

THE MISSIONKermit Lynch's classic French travelogue "Adventures on the Wine Route" was recently re-released in an expanded anniversary edition, and on Sunday, the legendary Berkeley importer will speak at The Chapel, with both the Chapel bar and The Vestry serving a wide range of his wines. NORTH BEACH—Now that Tosca Cafe is settling into its new incarnation, wine director Ceri Smith (Biondivino) is upping the ante with a special weekend by-the-glass offering of wines from different Italian regions. Tonight and tomorrow only, she'll have 15 different vintages from Montalcino and Montepulciano; expect other regions to be featured biweekly. [EaterWire]

RUSSIAN HILL—Speaking of Biondivino, the shop will once again play host to a Sunday waffle pop-up from Chris Bottorff of Chrissy's Waffles. THE EMBARCADERO—The end of the America's Cup liberated Waiheke Island Yacht Club to serve the New Zealand wine their cuisine demands, and to celebrate, they're hosting two six-course wine pairing dinners on subsequent Mondays, November 25 and December 2.
