DOH Chronicles

Though the Hayes Valley location of Lers Ros, with its shiny exterior and fancy rock walls, may seem cleaner than the downmarket Larkin Street original, it turns out the opposite is actually true. Lers Ros Hayes was shut down by the Health Department today for a cockroach infestation, reported by a diner who found four of the creepy creatures in his soup tureen. Their license is suspended until they get the vermin under control; further updates will be provided when they reopen. Update: They've addressed the issue; after a steam clean, a Saturday reopening looks likely. [SFist]
