After notching their first San Francisco account with the FiDi's Coffee Cultures earlier this year, it appears that well-regarded Durham, NC-based roaster Counter Culture Coffee is going west in a big way. They've inked a lease on a 12,000-square-foot space in Emeryville (1329 64th St.) that they plan to use as a roastery and training facility. "We are thrilled to now have the opportunity to better serve our West Coast customers and coffee enthusiasts," founder Brett Smith said in a release. [Sprudge]
