She may have gone astray in her crowdfunding efforts, but thanks to the help of Supervisor David Campos, Virginia Ramos (a.k.a. the Tamale Lady) is still going brick-and-mortar. The beloved tamale peddler has secured a still-undisclosed permanent space near 16th and Mission (supposedly a former Central American restaurant), which will of course be dubbed Tamale Lady, and she's hoping to snag a beer and wine license as well.
