Add another celebrity chef's name to the State Bird Provisions fan club: Grant Achatz, chef of Chicago's acclaimed Alinea, dropped in last night and declares it "worth the hype," with "excellent execution, creative thoughtful food, innovative evolution of the dim sum cart." He's also dined at Range and sister cocktail spot Third Rail ("nice late dinner"), hit Yank Sing for Christmas Day dim sum (followed by a screening of American Hustle), and popped in for the Feast of Seven Fishes at A16.
