After a bitter fight to save its original Union Square home from developers, who promptly turned said home into an Express, the historic Gold Dust Lounge is ready to open its doors at its new location on Fisherman's Wharf. Though this afternoon's ribbon-cutting and opening party/gathering of politicians is sold out, the doors are opening to the public at 7 p.m. both tonight and tomorrow night (expect crowds), and Johnny Z & the Camaros will resume their rightful place on the stage. And if you want to combine Super Bowl festivities and opening festivities, they're opening their doors at 8 a.m. on gameday.
