Gay Bar Deathwatch

New, 2 comments

Grub Street managed to score some more intel on Driftwood, the bar that's going into the Kok space on Folsom Street that's been a gay leather bar of one kind or another since the '70s. As predicted, the new order of the day is decidedly less S&M-centric; while one of the two owners is gay, the name is inspired by their mutual love of surfing, and the plan is for a fully renovated and laid-back cocktail lounge (with a possible fireplace) that's welcoming to both gays and straights.
