Shave and a Highball

The Bold Italic has a fascinating story today on third-generation Nob Hill barber Sal Cimino, who has a sideline in making whiskey with his company 1512 Spirits. For those interested in the science or business of distilling, it's well worth a look. Cimino's Barbershop White Rye Whiskey (designed to taste like a "Manhattan in a bottle") is not only served at the venue for which it's named, but sold at the likes of Cask, Bi-Rite, and K&L, if you're interested in picking up a bottle.
