Turtle Tower Temporarily Closing, Moving Down Larkin Street

Pho fans, take note: beloved Tenderloin stalwart Turtle Tower, which is generally believed to serve up the best soup in the business, is about to close its doors at 631 Larkin and move to another location right down the street, at 645 Larkin. The new iteration of Turtle Tower, a former tattoo shop, will be getting a full build-out, but since they've lost their lease at the original spot, next Wednesday, February 27, will be your last chance to slurp down some noodles until April or so. In the meantime, Turtle Tower has three other SF locations in SOMA, the Outer Richmond, and at the SF State student center, and while all of those are widely considered to be of lower quality than the mothership, they'll still satisfy a pho ga craving.
