Beloved dishes by the likes of Craftsman & Wolves, Bar Tartine, and Mission Chinese Food have been immortalized by artist Kelly Waters for "All The Food That's Fit to Paint," an exhibit running from February 21-March 21 at the quaint Mission kitchen shop Pot + Pantry (593 Guerrero). Appropriately enough, Waters works with watercolors, capturing the vibrancy of the hidden egg in the Rebel Within at Craftsman and Wolves or the fresh seasonality of Bar Tartine's open-faced smørrebrød.
Waters first started painting these foods as a fun collaboration with New York-based website Sous Style and has since found the idea has taken on an "engine of its own," as she writes on her blog. The collection will be on view during normal store hours, and an opening reception is set from 6-9 p.m. on February 21. Craftsman & Wolves will provide the bites that can actually be eaten.
