Well-regarded Scream Sorbet may be forced to shutter its Oakland brick-and-mortar as soon as a month from now, according to a post by founder Nathan Kurz on Chowhound. The problem is twofold: they need a permit and money to make legally required improvements that will keep the shop open, and the winter low season (which they tried to ameliorate by offering breakfast) has left them $50K in the hole. Kurz encourages possible investors to get in touch with him. [Chowhound via EBX]
