Surcharge Swindle

New, 1 comment

It seems the Healthy SF surcharge mess keeps getting messier. Michael Bauer took to the Inside Scoop blog this morning to clear up some "innacuracies" found in his Tuesday post regarding the release of the list of the 93 restaurants with surcharge discrepancies, which was not, as he originally stated, released by the City Attorney's office, but came "after a Public Records Request from The Chronicle." Bauer stands by his opinion that releasing the list puts all restaurants that attach surcharges "in a bad light" and offers an alternative: they should "take the surcharge off the menu and raise prices slightly."
