Nearly a year and a half after the fire that consumed the Lower Haight, two previously displaced tenants are officially slated to return. Three Twins Ice Cream and Estela's Fresh Sandwiches have both reportedly signed 15-year leases on their old addresses and are hoping to begin reconstruction in April in order to open their doors by June 1st.

This is great news for the neighborhood which saw many businesses and residents forced to relocate after the 4-alarm fire destroyed their homes and storefronts. Thankfully, no one was injured in the massive blaze, but it's taken a long time to get back to normal. While the stores won't be exactly the same as before, that might not be a bad thing: Estela's will be a little larger, with some nice new touches, and they plan to add coffee and pastries to their menu. Here's hoping everything goes smoothly. [Haighteration]
