Ken Friedman teases more details about his and April Bloomfield's plans for the renovated Tosca Cafe. There will be a real food menu for the first time since the spot opened in 1964: "It'll be hearty, simple, small plates...Part of what we are going to do is bring a New York sensibility to San Francisco, which includes a late-night menu." The cuisine will be Italian, and they're debating between bringing in someone in NYC for cocktails or hiring away from "these guys called Bourbon & Branch." [Food Republic]
