Year-old Maven in the Lower Haight has lost its opening chef, David Kurtz, according to a Scoop report. He'll be replaced by Sons & Daughters and Manresa vet Isaac Miller, who was the opening chef for S&D's Sweet Woodruff takeout arm. The cocktail and dish pairings will remain, but owner Jay Bordeleau says the food will become more "robust" (read: bigger portions). As of yet, no word on where Kurtz is heading. [Scoop]
