NBC Bay Area has uncovered an unfortunate quirk of the Santa Clara County Health Department: they have no scoring system for restaurants, and the only way to get the hard info on a place is to make an appointment to view the file. The state does require restaurants keep a copy of their most recent inspection on file, but 9 of the 10 restaurants NBC visited refused to show them the goods. SCC's Department of Environmental Health says they plan to take action. [NBC Bay Area]
