Berkeley's C.R.E.A.M. (2399 Telegraph) routinely draws lines around the block for fresh-baked cookies and ice cream sandwiches; the name is a Wu-Tang Clan reference and stands for Cookies Rule Everything Around Me. Now, the family-owned business has approved Matt Peterson as its first franchiser to open a second location, which will be in Palo Alto. Pending permit approval, construction will soon begin on C.R.E.A.M's first foray into the Peninsula.

C.R.E.A.M. isn't ready to reveal the exact address for a very whimsical reason: the company is currently running a scavenger hunt on Facebook for people to find and photograph the "opening soon" sign in Palo Alto for a chance to win a gift card. But one of the hints is that the shop is 0.1 miles away from the nearest Apple store, so the main thoroughfare of University Avenue comes to mind as a possibility.

Owner Gus Shamieh says his family is also on currently on the hunt for the perfect San Francisco location. Stay tuned for more details.
