The Shutter

Two East Bay spots are down for the count: BEC's Bar & Bistro in Berkeley and Noble Cafe in Oakland. BEC's, formerly Beckett's Irish Pub, shut down after less than two years in business as the owners recently lost their lease on the space. Noble Cafe survived for a year before owner Dmitri Thompson decided to sell the space and look for a new location last month. We'll keep you posted on any new developments regarding these two now-vacant spots. [Berkeleyside]
