Though its demise was originally announced back in December, longrunning FiDi restaurant and bar Gio's will finally close tomorrow night. (Fans of the stuffed leopard above the bar should note that it's already gone.) The closure is bittersweet for owner Giovanni Costabile, an industry veteran who decided to sell the space after breaking his hip last year. The new owners are behind the nearby Irish Times; no plans have been announced for what they'll do with the space. [Chron]
