Though it was originally slated to close March 15, Fog City Diner decided to say goodbye two weeks early, shutting down for good on Friday. According to Real Restaurants' Bill Higgins, the kitchen staff abandoned ship, and a decision was made to pack it in. As previously reported, the restaurant will be renovated and reopened as Fog City under Bruce Hill later this year; no word on whether they'll take American Express this time around. [Inside Scoop]
