Gitane to Open Mondays with Secret Menu

Good news for those who like to dine on the night when many nicer places are dark: Gitane has decided to start opening their doors on Mondays, beginning this coming Monday. What's more, they've decided to get on the secret-menu train, with a special set of dishes available only on Monday nights that includes Bridget Batson and Patrick Kelly's takes on fideos, lamb tartare, and most intriguingly, paella. In addition to the secret menu (click here if you can't see it), wine director Sarah Knoefler will be offering special $16 Monday-only flights of sherry and rosé. Here's the lineup:

Finally, Batson and Kelly are introducing a new $65 five-course tasting menu available every night that focuses on the cuisine of Rioja, with an optional $45 pairing of Rioja wines by Knoefler. Here's that menu:
