After three years as chef de cuisine, Timothy Hollingsworth has turned over the keys to the kitchen at The French Laundry as of today. As previously announced, his replacement is French-trained Charleston native David Breeden (pictured at right), a Thomas Keller lifer who's worked in the Kellerverse since 2005, most recently as executive sous chef at NYC's Per Se. He'll kick things off in the kitchen later this week.
Meanwhile, Hollingsworth is off to Los Angeles to pursue his fortunes as a free agent. He told Inside Scoop last fall that he's interested in potentially starting a Mexican mini-chain and salsa line, or having his own restaurant-exploration TV show.
