HAYES VALLEY—Texas-born Sarah Rich makes up half of the chef team at Rich Table, but she's also known as her alter-ego, Sally Hurricane. Said alter-ego will be making a special pop-up appearance at Rich Table on Tuesday, April 23, and for $35, she'll provide diners with appetizers like smoked-trout deviled eggs, fried chicken with all the fixings (mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, cornbread, and pan gravy), and cobbler, ice cream, and chocolate-chip cookies for dessert. Bartender Buffalo LoGrasso will even mix up a whiskey and sun tea cocktail for the occasion. Call them at (415) 355-9085 to reserve a seat. [EaterWire]

THE MISSION—Speaking of pop-ups, American Bao Bar, the Asian concept from GraffEats chef Blair Warsham, is still chugging along with Monday-night seatings at Nombe and Tuesdays at Southpaw BBQ. Seats have been filling up, so potential diners are encouraged to e-mail them to reserve a spot for the 7-9:30 shift. The rotating $37 prix-fixe includes bites like red-curry chicken xiao long bao and Malaysian bouillabaisse shooters, plus ice-cream sandwiches from Batter Bakery; Southpaw's bar has been mixing up special drinks for them as well. If things keep going well, a brick-and-mortar is the ultimate goal. [EaterWire]

SOMAWine Spectator is rolling through SF on Wednesday, April 24 with their Grand Tour, which will feature more than 200 of their top-scoring selections, as well as a buffet of light bites and a complimentary Riedel tasting glass to take home. Tickets are a steep $200, but the list of wineries is pretty boggling, so it may be worth the coin if you're into sampling the big guns. [EaterWire]

THE FILLMOREMatthew Accarrino of SPQR is a native of St. Louis, and he's welcoming Gerard Craft, a Food & Wine Best New Chef and four-time James Beard Award nominee who owns four restaurants there, for a guest dinner at the restaurant next Thursday, April 18. Craft will create three special a la carte courses for the occasion. Call (415) 771-7779 to reserve a seat. [EaterWire]
