Traina Clan Goes Big on Billionaire's Row; Treasure Island's Glitzy History; Maps Galore; More!

BILLIONAIRE'S ROW— 2950 Broadway on Billionaire's Row sold last year for $29.5M. The 4-story, 6-bed, 5-full, and 2-half bath mansion has highlights like a heated outdoor swimming pool and up close and personal views of the Golden Gate Bridge, not to mention one of the most prestigious and expensive addresses in the city. It quietly sold last month for $35,000,000, making the property the most expensive single-family home sale in the history of San Francisco. Rumormongering: it looks like Alexis and Trevor Traina are the buyers.

SAN FRANCISCO— For a city that's rumored to have more pets than kids per household, it's always shocking to learn that so many rentals have a strict no pets policy. With that in mind, we thought it best to publish a map of buildings, not just units, that allow Fido.

TREASURE ISLAND We looked back on Treasure Island's glory days, when it was the site of the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Yes, there are plenty of photos.

MARINA— It's a beautiful and sunny Wednesday afternoon. If only we could stop by Duffy's Bar, formerly located at the corner of Beach and Baker streets. It was torn down around 1915 to make way for the Panama Pacific Exposition. In its place-a little something called the Palace of Fine Arts.

PACIFIC HEIGHTS— Frank and Frances Alioto's Pacific Heights mansion was first listed in March for $16.5M. Big bucks! A month and a half later and there's no offers, so the price has been dropped to $13.9M. That's $2.6M off.
