Eve Lounge to Become Southside Spirit House

Three-and-a-half year old Eve Lounge apparently didn't have many mourners, as its closure at the end of March went unnoticed by the entire food blogosphere. However, the space is already scheduled to see new life, of the undead sort: it'll become Southside Spirit House, from the same owners (who also run neighboring John Colins). They tell Inside Scoop that they're planning to rip out the purple lighting and chandeliers and cancel bottle service in favor of a more old-school neighborhood bar concept.

Though renovations are still underway, the team has concurred on the logo you see at right, a ghost with a skull inside drinking a bottle of hooch. They're hiring now, with hopes of opening in the next few weeks.
