Cocktail Wire

New York Times cocktail writer Robert Simonson may not have been to SF since 2006, but he got up to speed with a whirlwind four-day drinking tour that included "distinct leanings" toward citrus, pisco, Chartreuse, and mezcal, but was also "impressively varied." Favorite stops included Trick Dog, Bar Agricole, Smuggler's Cove, and Hog & Rocks, but he hit pretty much all of the decent bars and bar groups in town. Conclusion? "The City by the Bay is New York's only real rival for American cocktail supremacy." [NYT]
