Tea drinkers/fans of the police blotter may recall Om Shan Tea, the Mission tea shop that got shut down after its owner, Oshan Cook, was convicted of dealing LSD and ecstasy. Cook has now been sentenced to 12 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute those drugs. Om Shan, which will become gastropub Mission Public later this year, was a "holistic healing center" that regularly hosted 12-step meetings, but that apparently didn't apply to Cook, who maintains that his extracurricular activities had nothing to do with the shop.
