NAPA—If you're still bumming about those Douglas Keane dinners at Jardiniere that sold out almost immediately, get excited: the former Cyrus chef is popping up again, in a team-up with La Folie's Roland Passot and La Toque's Ken Frank at the latter restaurant next Friday, April 12. The seven-course "It's the Principle" meal will benefit CHEFS, the Coalition for Ethical and Humane Farming Standards; wine lovers will be particularly stoked to note that you can either bring your own bottle with corkage waived, or purchase any of La Toque's bottles at 50% off. THE EMBARCADERO—Giants opening day is fast approaching, and the folks at Waterbar are reviving their Friday-afternoon outdoor bake sale benefit for kids' cancer charities for the occasion. For $5, you can score a goodie bag with a chocolate sandwich cookie, caramel popcorn, a chocolate chip cookie, and an old-fashioned-flavored snickerdoodle. We got to sample the lineup, and can confirm they're all good, particularly the snickerdoodle, which we wanted about ten more of.
