The Chez Panisse rebuilding process is underway, and the restaurant received a critical piece of the puzzle today: a 25-foot custom steel frame, the first time metal has been part of the restaurant's foundation. Artisan woodworkers will now cover up the frame with rootsier designs and add other details, while the rest of the building will be brought up to current codes. Reopening day for the fire-ravaged icon is still scheduled for June 10. [Inside Scoop]
