A new pastry chef has taken the reins at Outerlands: Brooke Mosley, who previously held that role at The Tasting Kitchen, The Parish, and Tavern (all in L.A.) She'll be helping the restaurant beef up its pastry program as it prepares to renovate and expand, and will be part of an effort to serve morning pastries and bread there once the renovation is complete. "I've wanted to be up here for a while," says Mosley, who already has lots of local industry pals; her first desserts, including a black sesame financier with strawberries and baked ricotta with poached rhubarb, have already hit the menu.
