POTRERO HILLAs promised, the former Pizza Nostra space has been refreshed as Kitchen Mojo, in a team-up between owner Winona Matsuda and the folks from HRD Coffee Shop, and is now open. The menu includes HRD-esque items like Asian burritos and popcorn shrimp kimchi po' boys, as well as burgers and salads. Meanwhile, next-door Market & Rye has added early dinner service (until 7 pm), with the full lunch menu and a nightly blue-plate special. They've also secured their beer and wine license. NOE VALLEY—Those who spend their Sunday evenings glued to Game of Thrones on HBO (a.k.a. everyone we know) are aware that the feasts on the show are pretty epic. Now, there's a chance to try the food from the show for yourself: chefs Graham Bellefeuille and Ty Cox, a.k.a. the Guild of Cookery, are teaming up for a nine-course medieval feast inspired by the show, including venison stew, leg of lamb, pigeon pie, and lemon cakes. The event will be held at Contigo on Monday, May 20 and again a week later, on May 27, with two seatings (5 and 7 pm) each night. Tickets are $55; drinks are sold separately and are $4 each. More info here. [EaterWire]

THE EMBARCADERO—After more than a decade, Rose Pistola is pulling out of their booth at the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market. They've long been one of the less buzzy spots in the bustling vendor area, and the competition is hurting their sales, while the early hours are harming employee morale. CUESA will replace them, but haven't decided whether they'll choose a restaurant or a farm stand to fill the vacancy. [Inside Scoop]

CASTRO—The Starbucks that was planned for Upper Market got a big fat rejection from the Planning Commission last night, which says there are plenty of other coffee shops in the area. Wonder how this is going to play out for fellow Castro chain hopeful Chipotle? [Bay Area Reporter]
