THE EMBARCADERO—As you've likely read in other outlets, this weekend is a big one for the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market, which is turning 20 years old. (Hard to believe they and Suppenküche started in the same month in 1993, both taking advantage of disappeared freeways.) Tomorrow night, they'll have a cocktail party ($40) with lots of great bartenders from Trick Dog, Lolinda, 15 Romolo, Maven, and Hard Water, plus cupcakes from local chefs; on Saturday morning, they'll offer a shortcake bar from Craftsman & Wolves, Batter Bakery, Fifth Floor, and Les Elements, plus a mimosa bar with tons of fresh juices ($20). SOMA—Those attending a game at AT&T Park and seeking snack options on either end should consider Prospect, which is opening up its typically formal atmosphere to welcome Giants fans at the bar for braised short-rib taquitos ($8) and $5 draft brews, including Allagash White and Boont Amber Ale. Diners can also grab a $5 bag of chef Pam Mazzola's caramel-cocoa nib popcorn for enjoying at the game. [EaterWire]

SOMA—The SF Brewers' Guild is taking over the Old Mint next Thursday, May 23 for a "Hops & History" night, featuring unlimited samples from the likes of Magnolia, Speakeasy, Anchor, Pine Street, and MateVeza. They'll have presentations on the history of brewing, a brewers' panel discussion, tours of the space, and an exhibit of historical brewing memorabilia. Tickets are $30. [EaterWire]

THE MISSION—Chef Anthony Yang, a Per Se and Adour Alain Ducasse alum who's currently a sous under Ron Siegel at Michael Mina, apparently has energy to spare: in addition to that tough gig, he's doing a pop-up brunch at Dear Mom a week from Saturday (May 25). Under the name Ante Meridian, Yang will offer beef-fat-toasted everything bagels with sturgeon cream cheese and charred-scallion mayo, black truffle waffles with honey-black pepper butter, and brioche donut holes with strawberry jam. (Yeah, we're salivating too.) Be sure to mark your calendars. [EaterWire]
