Congrats to La Cocina grad Onigilly and Joshu-ya Brasserie in Berkeley, whose owner-chefs announced cookbook releases this week. Savory Books will release Koji Kanematsu's The Onigilly Cookbook and Jason Kwon's The Joshu-Ya Cookbook on the same day, December 1, and considering they play with upscale and casual Japanese influences, respectively, they do make a great duo.
