Farm: Table Sold to New Owners

Popular Tendernob cafe Farm: Table is under new management as of tomorrow: owner Shannon Amitin has sold it to Tom Benson and Wendy Rouse of Duluth, MN. Benson, a former sous chef for the Duluth Convention Center, and Rouse, a fine-art painter, are aiming to take over cafe operations beginning tomorrow; the space is closed for today. "It has been their dream to own a small cafe in San Francisco," Amitin says of the duo. We'll update this post when we learn more about their plans for the space.

As for Amitin, he's planning on taking a break from the restaurant industry by walking the 500-mile Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. "When I return, I'll begin my next project," he notes. His Trailhead coffee shop in the A Temporary Offering project at 7th and Market recently closed for the Renoir Hotel's renovation (as did fellow tenants Food Lab and Rio Grande), so this might have been an ideal opportunity to transition.
