THE EMBARCADERO— The Golden State Warriors unveiled the updated design of the arena the team wants to build on the waterfront. The arena's being designed by international starchitects Snøhetta (same firm responsible for the SFMOMA expansion project) and AECOM. One of the most exciting changes is a huge glass wall that allows fans to see the Bay Bridge from inside the arena.
PACIFIC HEIGHTS— The housing market is madness right now. Absolutely madness. Need proof? 2430 Broadway was listed for $10.95M and sold for asking 21 days later. Eight figures. Less than a month. Do invite us to the housewarming party.
SOUTH BEACH— Check out our exclusive first look at the Transbay Transit Center construction. We went on site last week to get up close (and way down--like 63 feet below sea level down) and personal with the construction site. The massive bus and train station will nearly stretch from 2nd to Main streets, and will have a 5.4 acre rooftop park.
CASTRO— The Bank of America turned Diesel store turned potential Apple store on the very prestigious corner of Castro and Market streets has finally found an occupant, and it's fixing to become a classy all-male burlesque club and restaurant.
THE TENDERLOIN— Did you know the Tenderloin only has four single-family homes in the entire neighborhood? It's true! One can be yours for $799K. Not chump change. To add insult to injury, you should know that it's located in a historic part of the Tenderloin, so no changes can be made to the home.
SAN FRANCISCO— The top three sales this week all received more than $3.2M. The #3 spot goes to a 3-bed, 2.5-bath condo in the Infinity that sold for $3.295M. Second place is a 3,600 square foot single-family home in Noe Valley that received $3.525M. The most expensive sale was that eight-figure deal in Pacific Heights that we mentioned above.
SAN FRANCISCO— If you're currently on the hunt for roommates or an apartment, we have some Craigslist alternatives. We understand how dire wading through Craigslist can be. You find what seems like the perfect place, only to find out that it's been rented, or worse, it's a scam. We've got plenty of less annoying alternatives for you, including an app.
