SF's Director of Environmental Health, Dr. Rajiv Bhatia, has been put on administrative leave while he's investigated on charges that he's had a conflict of interest between his work for the city and some nonprofits on whose boards he serves. Bhatia oversees all restaurant inspections in the city, among other duties, and the Chron's Matier and Ross speculate that he might be the target of new Public Health Director Barbara Garcia, who's shaken up the ranks since coming on in 2010.
