Though we're a continent away from NYC and its attendant fascination with Dominique Ansel's cronuts (those would be hybrid croissant-donuts filled with custard, which are drawing insane lines and even Craigslist scalping for their limited production), SFist attempted to bridge the gap by constructing their own "gronut" out of Grands biscuits, a cinnamon-sugar egg wash, and chocolate icing. It's a solid home effort, but we'd be lying if we said we didn't want to see, oh, Belinda Leong do a full-scale rip-off. [SFist]
