Chef Shuffles

There's a new face heading up the kitchen at Gerald Hirigoyen's casual spot Bocadillos: James LaLonde has taken the executive chef gig, which had been held by Robert Petzold since the restaurant opened in 2004 (with a two-year break from 2009-2011, when Petzold took a sabbatical and Scott Peterson took the reins). LaLonde has cooked at Salt House, Slow Club, and Maverick, and also happens to make the best burger in SF, according to burger expert Wes Rowe. (It's not on the Spanish-oriented menu, though.)
