Bigfoot Lodge Is Closing Down Saturday

New, 1 comment

It's last call at the Bigfoot Lodge: the kitschy wilderness-themed spot in Nob Hill has announced that its final day of service will be this Saturday, July 13. The 11-year-old bar, which has a sister spot in L.A., is best known for its camp-themed drinks like the Girl Scout Cookie and the toasted marshmallow, its witty/attitude-packed bartenders, a propensity for lighting the bar on fire, and of course, the giant statue of Sasquatch that lords over the space.

The bar's current management confirmed that it's being taken over by another group that will rename it The Cabin. We've heard rumors that the new owners plan to ditch most of the decor (including the Bigfoot statue) and install more televisions, but haven't been able to get direct contact info for them from the previous owners. If you know who's behind The Cabin (or if you yourself are said person), do get in touch.
